RRUK well represented in Edinburgh
The World Congress on Railway Research, Edinburgh, 2003.
Rail Research UK had a strong presence at the recent World Congress on Railway Reasearch in Edinburgh at which over 800 participants representing 39 countries attended.
In addition to maintaining a stand for the three days of the prestigious conference several members of RRUK presented papers and gave poster presentations on a number of diverse themes.
The stand drew considerable interest from conference delegates and it is hoped that the discussions held will prove beneficial to the work of the Centre.
A number of speakers commented on the fact that the creation of the Centre was welcome and that the RRUK model for collaboration in railway research was one which should be more widely adopted.
