Engineering Interfaces Welcome
Welcome to the Engineering Interfaces section of the RRUK Website.
Theme A: Engineering Interfaces recognises that many of the engineering problems that are of particular importance to railwaysarise at interfaces (e.g. between vehicles and the track system; the track system and the sub-base/sub-structures; or passengers and vehicles). Addressing engineering problems in this way avoids the compartment= alisationassociated with traditional engineering disciplines and the historically separated infrastructure and vehicle operating responsibilities within the industry.
