Working With The Industry

Close cooperation with major industry stakeholders is a key aspect of Rail Research Uk's strategy.

The Rail Safety and Standards Board has a substantial research budget, and appropriate contributions for safety-related work will be made on a project-by-project basis.

The Strategic Rail Authority, Network Rail and the Association of Train Operating Companies are key national stakeholders whose continuing participation in the on-going work of the reasearch centre is essential.

AEA Technology Rail has grown out of the largest railway operations in the UK and has already established a Research Contacts Network.  The Public Private Partnership will reveal new opportunities for collaboration.

London Underground is one of the largest railway operations in the UK and has already established a Research Contacts Network. 

A number of engineering organisations and consultancies have already identified with the research centre.
